Of the Æsir, the Vanir, and the Holy Powers

This section is devoted to the gods, goddesses, spirits, and holy powers of the Norse path. Here are gathered their names, domains, symbols, offerings, stories, and the ways in which they may be honoured in ritual and daily practice. The gods are not distant figures only found in old tales, but living powers who may be called upon for wisdom, strength, protection, magic, fertility, courage, healing, justice, love, and guidance. To know the gods is to learn their nature, their deeds, their favoured offerings, and the respect owed to them. Within these pages are written the ways of honouring the Æsir, the Vanir, and other sacred beings of the Norse world, so that offerings may be given with care, prayers may be spoken with intention, and the bonds between worshipper and divine may be strengthened.
